New 'Alien' film details!

Neill Blomkamp has been hired to pen and Direct the new 'Alien' film which was titled 'Alien 5'. But news has surfaced that Blomkamp's film will take place after James Cameron's 'Aliens'. Which means those fans who were disappointed by 'Alien 3' and 'Alien: Resurrection'.. Well we get a do-over!

I personally didn't hate 'Alien 3' because I knew that the film was changed several times and wasn't David Finchers vision. So I can give that one a pass except for killing off Hick and Newt.. That's one element that bugged me! As for 'Alien: Resurrection', I'd rather live in a world without that one. So it seems like Blomkamp is bypassing the other installments and going back to its glory days kind of like the 'Halloween' franchise did with 'Halloween: H20'.

Sigourney Weaver stated that this film will finally give closure to Ellen Ripley's character. I hope that this could spark a new trilogy and continue in the footsteps of the original's space-horror style!
