'Halloween' is my favorite horror franchises of all time. And I personally didn't mind Rob Zombie's remake or bizarre sequel. But the fans (me included) would love to see a sequel to the original franchise connecting both story lines. 'Halloween 9' is probably not going to ever happen but we can hope. Recently they hired the 'Saw' writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton to pen what they are calling a "recalibration".

Sources say it’s not a remake, not a reboot, and not a reimagining. One source said the project is a "recalibration". Until I see a cast and shooting schedule, I'm not going to get too excited too soon.

According to several other sources is that this will not follow the Rob Zombie remake storyline or characters. This in my opinion will most likely be a mixture of what people liked about the original series and what others liked about Rob Zombie's films. Either way I'm happy they're finally listening to the fans regarding the new direction. But only time will tell whether or not we'll see Michael Myers hack and slash on the big screen again!
