New 'Friday the 13th' film pushed back?

The remake of 'Friday the 13th' performed well in its opening weekend.. Then it dropped approximately 70% due to negative reviews and fan reaction. A sequel to the remake was in the works then it turned into a possible sequel to the original franchise. Now Platinum Dunes states that the new 'Friday' film may in fact be a reboot. Not only is the new film a reboot but it's also being pushed back until the summer of 2016!

Personally the only thing I liked about the remake was Derek Mears (Jason). He had the physical presence and intensity that made him very intimidating. So if they reboot the franchise they need to give Mr. Mears a phone call.
