'World War Z' was an epic zombie disaster film that stared Brad Pitt. The film was a surprise hit and instantly green-lit a sequel on its opening weekend. Brad Pitt was set to produce and star in the sequel and now.. Well, it seems like they've hit a bit of a snag.

Writer 'Steven Knight' gave a brief update on the script.
"I thought, ‘why not? What fun." said Knight on his decision to take a crack at the script. “It’s not quite like the other; we’re starting with clean slate. When they’ve signed off [Paramount and Plan B], we’re on.”
Whoa.. What does "clean slate" mean? Are they abandoning the Brad Pitt storyline? Is it a reboot? Is it happening? It was a done deal a few months ago that Brad Pitt's character would return and once again fight the good fight against the undead. But now, the future of the new franchise is unclear. If they bang out a script they could start shooting as soon as this October.
